Correct (22): My enemy has taken revenge on me.
Explanation: After “has,” we must use the past participle form of the verb.
• took ❌ (simple past)
• taken ✔ (past participle)

Correct (23): … hurled them down.
Explanation: The word “pictures” is plural, so the pronoun must also be plural.
• him ❌ (singular)
• them ✔ (plural)

Correct (24): … to put out the dreadful fire…
Explanation: The phrase “put out” means to extinguish a fire. “Pull out” is incorrect because it means to remove something by pulling.

Correct (25): Women and children were crying and screaming.
Explanation: We join two actions happening at the same time using “and.” “Crying but screaming” is incorrect because “but” shows contrast, but here both actions occur together.

Correct (26): … like a trapped creature…
Explanation: The correct adjective is “trapped,” meaning caught or unable to escape.
• trap creature ❌
• trapped creature ✔
